Excellent writing but robo calls are not a problem for us. They never were because we literally never answer our phone(s). Possibly 3-4 times a year, if that, I'll catch up on listening to voicemails. Yes it hasn't been a problem at all for us but you Writing about this subject is goo. Best wishes!

Scam calls are the worst. They waste time when answer them and they refuse to get off the line with their pushy scripts. They hope to target those ignorant of their intentions.
I had one tell me there was a warrant out for my arrest. I asked them to hold while I got my father the sheriff on the line. (My father isn't a sheriff, but I figured they were fair game for a scam.) Yep, they hung up immediately.

This is an excellent writing that you have done and very important for us who are senior citizens and live on Social Security. When I get calls on my phone if I don't recognize the number or have it in my call list I do not answer it usually if I don't answer and it's important, they will leave a message and I can get back to them. Patricia.

It's good to hear they are coming down hard on some of the robocallers' businesses, but they seem to spring up like weeds. This is a well-written and informative article. I just hope they continue the campaign to end robocallers. Then there are the one's that get to you on the internet.

It's ridiculous the things these spammers get by with, and before now there was nothing being done at all to combat the problem, beside the Do Not Call Registry that, doesn't work at all. Thanks for sharing.

Wise advice. These annoying calls are world wide and the scammers run a very lucrative business. I hang up. I won't buy anything offered by phone or give my info to anyone. But they are extremely cunning with a huge variety of strategies. Well written.

That's one one thing we likewise have going in Australia also, there is a war going on here too with the authorities trying to ban them, there's a price to pay for the free enterprise we enjoy. Trouble is people are scammed because of need, beautifully written, blessings Roy

If they are cracking down on these calls I am all for it. Actually come to think of it I haven't gotten one all day and their extremely unusual. I used to average getting one ever twenty minutes. If they get rid of crap that keeps popping up on the couputer and on email, that woud be wonderful as well. I they have claimed I've won an expensive Item from every company in business. I don't believe it so I don't respind other than delete.

I usually don't answer such calls. If they go to the answering machine, they usually don't leave a message. If I do happen to pick up, I don't give out any information. It is annoying to receive those calls. It suits me if the government takes action to stop these calls that may defraud the public. Great information in this. judi
