What a wonderful Haiku! I love the image and the thought of a paper boat carrying the adventures of a kid's imagination to the sea.
Beautiful words wrapped up in a beautiful presentation.

Gypsy,
I like the theme of your poem: like a mother bird who encourages her young to fly, etc.
I feel like the creek is an incubator(we have lots of creeks in our county that eventually empty into the Mississippi). I like that your poems relate to the readers in symbolic fashion.

I enjoyed this Satori haiku and I see it is perfect for this fo, from your informative Author Notes. I particularly enjoyed the photo presentation because it brings up imagery of a happy childhood, and it acknowledges all of the imaginative play that the paper boat now carries as it floats. This could have been the reader grabbing preface to a children's adventure book. I liked the progression from the creek to the sea. Starting off slow and then as the bodies of water grow it speeds up. Much like life. Great job on this. Gretchen

I like that quote! I think that's why we do what we do for our kids to improve our own childhood! Yes, that little paper boat will carry those childhood dreams of adventure to sea.

What a great haiku, Gypsy. I found the dual pictures enlightening, the first with the sail boat and the crescent moon and then the sail boat with the make believe anchor and the attached balloon. Your words were fulfilling. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!
