It would be grand if this was true for everyone. I believe I have found my place here. I feel I belong here, Don't you? Writers are a sensitive bunch and can take things hard sometimes. But most recover and learn to accept the help. Some edits I make, some I don't. But, I am glad I read this and realized that I have found my true calling. Karen

I think what you are getting at in this post is that Don Quixote represents the innocence in us. It is interesting to note that you seem to say that in the first days of our lives that innocence gets corrupted from our first interactions with the already corrupted people around us. estory

In my fourth year of Spanish we had to translate part of Don Quixote from the Old Spanish language to English. It was a very interesting project. I doubt there are very few Don Quixote's left in today's world. Thank you for sharing.

I like your reference to Don Quijote (or as we spell it in American English, Quixote). Fresh from our Heavenly Father, I'm sure we have much more innocence than when we spend more time on Earth.

Thank you. This is very thoughtful. I have never considered Don Quixote as someone to admire, and yet he is in a way, aiming to complete his dreams, no matter how nonsensical they are. What counts is they made him happy.

This follows my line of metaphysical thinking. We are born with gifts but life corrupts us. The Don Quijote's of the world are those who don't seek popularity or crowd approval.
