I've actually added that bit about how long Maddie had been there before letting Kendria get into her brain. Some times we need to let our readers know how long things have been going on. So, don't worry about it. What I like about your stories, are that things happen naturally, not hello, let's get into bed. Now, what I am worried about is that car Seth keeps seeing. There is something wrong there. And Peggy. I wonder if it has anything to do with her? Hmm. Another great chapter, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Being harassed by drunken customers is probably not a rare, drugs or alcohol can severely lower the ability to resist temptation, the Bible says string drink's a which applies to recreational drugs too. I guess my drunken years taught that, it's good to see Seth's overprotective juices are flowing, beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy

Dear Barbara, This piece was next on my list, and since it's July I have longer to spend on individual reviews - so I am pleased to visit you twice in a week. Well, this is different from the two naughty ladies who made me laugh so much a few days ago!
Straight off, I have a little gift - or should I say 'gem' for you: I know no better 'drunk' than the British actor, Freddie Frinton. I never laughed so much in my life as at Freddie. On best form in 'Dinner for One' (b/w 1963) - beloved throughout the German speaking world, for it's visual comedy, but unregarded in the UK - about 11 minutes - the 'butler' starts off sober, but descends into total paralytic incompetence! Priceless.
Well, in this very different milieu: lovely, believable characters, with natural dialogue, kept at a simmer (Seth and Emma in particular) but we feel a volcano could erupt at any moment - you have controlled the energy at the 'potential' level so well - but it's going kinetic soon!
Fairly surprising that he didn't deck the drunk - but he is a 'good guy' after all - and a good, professional policeman too, who uses 'due process'.
Really nice interlude with the two dogs, Molly and Ace, whose friendship seems to shadow the main couple 'Ace herded Molly inside' - what a good phrase - alludes to Seth's 'shepherding' Emma by keeping an eye on her safety.
On rereading I note again the natural and unforced nature of all the dialogue - but I ran into a major problem with that food story: I only had breakfast today, and now I would kill to get one of those sandwiches!

And Seth, just "happens" to always be there to save the day. Also, after a while, the reader will begin to question, "Why not just stop the Crown Vic?"
