A fairy amusing entry! I'll bet some readers are just goblin it up! When it comes to words, you're a trickster! With material of this kind, there's gnomeone like you!

Mists or fogs tend to have images that are a little hazy, our minds construct a legend around them, I was reading were there's a legend in many ancient cultures of a major flood, I wonder if that's true. Meanwhile I don't care if these tales are absolute truth, I Just love reading about them, but if I come across a fairy or an elf, will anyone believe, some will...some won't, beautifully written, blessings Roy

    Hi Roy,
Thank you for sharing about the mists and fogs. I enjoy reading them, too. True, to meet one, who would believe? I appreciate your kind comments and support.

Honestly, the important tidbits I learn from FS! Fairy Day? I'm sixty-six and just learning of this now?? Gyp City! I could have been frolicking in this holiday for six decades. *sighhhhh*

Anyway, what a knack you have for rhyme and rhythm. You don't force either one, and my musician's ears thanks you so, so much for that!

Adorable photo you found for the perfect cherry-on-top touch.

One little typo, though: decEIve.

Immensely fun read.

Yes, who knew there was a holiday to celebrate with the fairy world. I didn't so as soon as I read about it, I had to let everyone know.

This is an excellent, poetic tribute to International Fairy Day. Your clever poem includes all of the mythical and legendary characters celebrated, including leprechauns, gnomes and fairies. My favorite lines are, "Look here! No, there! They're awfully quick. They love to tease, deceive, to trick.

I didn't know there was an International Fairy Day but what a lovely verse in praise of these little ethereal beings. I wondered if on last line of first stanza you'd want to add an 's' to dragon? The second stanza is my favourite evoking speed and trickery. Thanks for sharing, Debbie

    Hi Debbie,
I did add 's' to dragon as it was meant to be plural. Thank you for the kind review and pointing out what you liked. Have an enchanting day.

I just love this poem and am delighted that today is International Fairy Day. I like how you mention the various creatures in your poem and there is definitely a feel of fantasy and whimsy in your words. I also like how the mushrooms form a fairy ring. You create a beautiful scene with your words.

    Hi mermaids,
Who knew there was an International Fairy Day? I didn't until I saw it on the National Day Calendar. I'll have to prepare for it next year.
Thank you for the delightful review and encouragement.
