Wow! An immensely complex - well I suppose all life is here - poem and extremely effective. I like the use of rhyme and half rhyme and the ideas you express are serious and impressive. Your use of language is rich and subtle. Well done!

Rich and subtle or burnt like stubble. I am a simple-minded guy who catches a phrase in a read or dream and goes with the flow like flowers from a seed. I am babbling like a brook but ... want you to know your comment is appreciated. Our paths have not crossed earlier, have they?

I will, later. On my way to exercise, my body, not my brain. :-)

I enjoyed your philosophical look at life here as from birth to death the journey is short lived and we yearn to live forever like perennial flowers, and we do through our children. A sensitive and endearing write wit a gentle pace and I enjoyed the ride, a fine presentation for the contest, love Dolly x

I like the term, "Life is but a vapour that is here and then gone" and I guess life is really fleeting, also like a flower that blooms and then wilts and dies, it's a metaphor for life and death. This is beautifully written, a great entry in this contest, blessings Roy

VERY NICE POEM WRITTEN FROM A PERSPECTIVE THAT I HAD NEVER REALLY TAKEN BEFORE. WELL I believe you're right, life is a little bit like a flower. You have reminded us that we need to bloom well where we are planted.

Maybe so, or have tender merciful hands transplant us when needed to be even more beautiful than previously. Thanks for stopping by. Is this your first visit?

We all wish we understood life...its meaning.......
I like your thoughts of the bloom... ...........
The connection between a babies birth and nature... very very nice...
and, then of course the end..
ashes to ashes.....

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you will often. I believe my ecletic style of writing many things happens along like a stray dog adopting a new home without invitation.
