Congratulations, Debbie, on your win of 1st place.
You did a great job--love the use of alliteration
and the perfect picture. Your notes were informative,
too. Where would we be without bees--in serious
trouble?
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Congratulations and kudos, Debbie. A well deserved win.
From the masterful alliteration to the well-chosen artwork, this was a great 5-7-5. I love how you portrayed the honey bee as a farmer, with her crop being sweet (taste) and golden (sight). The word gifts is also well-chosen and adds to the message of charity. Simply an impressive work.
Take care. - Jamison

Your poem gave me a good feeling as I read. It reminded us how Mother Nature is awesome. Your notes educated me about bees, and the picture is a perfect match. I truly hope you win with this outstanding poem.

Loved you entry for the 5-7-5 contest. I have recently started learning about bees and enjoyed the author notes, as well.
Your writing meets all the requirements of the contest and the artwork is a nice added touch. Great work.

This looks like a great 5-7-5. The syllable count is just right. I saw the f, b, and g alliteration. Great photo. This reminds me of a bee collection in an insurance office I saw a day or two ago. Nice write. Good luck in that contest!

A short format poem that reminds us of the importance to our planet of the humble bumble bee, without whom our eco system would be in danger- an interesting portrayal 'first farmer.'

It's always a surprise how much can be communicated in only a few well chosen words. I found myself longing to be in a garden working along side these little farmers busy tending to their tasks.

I love your words "nature's first farmer." It gives us a sense of how important bees are and a note of gratitude at the same time. Good luck in the contest.
