Joesph Smith Jr. and Oliver Cowdery would later create the book of Mormon. (I'm not exactly positive I would say they created the Book of Mormon or the Doctrine and Convenance. They were inspired by God when the gold plates were discovered, again inspired by God.)

Well of course we weren't born back in 1842 to have met Joseph Smith to be able to see and watch and hear as he experienced something amazing in those woods.
During the time of apostomy.
