Does this not resonate with truth?

Seems the older one ages the more they desire to return back to the days of their youth.

A lot said in one line.

I liked how you showed the passage of time from the "boy now an old man" and in the process of maturing, he was able to gain patience and a "return home" either physically or in his mind.

Hello, thank you for participating in the haiku club event. Great entry with a good syllable count and connection between lines. Beautiful presentation and imagery.

Good job,

Gypsy

Your one line haiku made great sense, Eliz.
I enjoyed reading it. You packed a lot of
info into the one line, and all of it was true.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

I never heard of a one line Haiku. How very interesting. Fun format.

Your poem was enjoyable and painted a mental picture in just...one line
Well done.

A beautiful one lined haiku. The message is clear and a sense of peace is felt behind your words. I like the thought of the "once boy now an old man" returning home after many seasons. Thanks for sharing.

An evocative one line verse, skilfully capturing the passing of time and the welcoming sight of home. The whole presentation has that Japanese sensation of calm tranquillity. Thanks for conveying that. Debbie

Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. I've read a few contest entries with this a one-line Haiku. I keep checking to see if this is a contest entry. It should be. I enjoyed reading.
