I was surprised at the story ending. Somehow made me ponder a possible DNA relationship with your relative son. It kept my interest from start to end. No more to add. Exceptional.

Sweet story with a surprise ending. Well written. My only advice would be that you'd describe the house more to give the reader as sense of why the owner loved it so much. Good luck in the contest.

This is a well written prose with good structure, making it an enjoyable read with satisfying conclusion. Matt's sense of belonging and affinity with the house are well described and you empathise with his need to uproot, thus providing catharsis in the ending. Thanks for sharing and good luck! Debbie
