Amen, and teach it brother! No one of us gets through life without each of the three...

You might call it the "Holy Trinity" of life from birth to death...

I could opine for much, much longer.

You've said it all and I honor that be merely thanking you for your poetic observation.

I wish I had six stars! This is the best presentation and subject I have read for many a day. My short rendition of your words; body is the suitcase of the soul. Soul travels via the Silver Cord (google it) and every sleeping hour it travels the Cord to our real home. The only time it is severed, at death. Well done poet.

Excellent thought. When we allow each facet of our life to interact, we become a whole balanced being. Able to fully think, feel and act. People who are unbalanced are not happy nor as useful as could be.

Excellent poem about whole beings that have three parts, soul, body, and spirit. I believe it's true. But sometimes I forget and feel like there's something missing in me.

The rhymes and meter are not forced and they flow well.

the structure makes sense, it draws on emotions and it presents strong images.

Thank you, Gypsy, and I so appreciate your continued positivity even while I know my meter is often quite sophomoric. But, as I always attempt, so, practice, practice, practice. Have a splendid weekend, I going tp spend mien in the studio throwing pots. ( On the pottery wheel)

yes, part of my re-creation after 35 years in the corporate jungle. Started about the same time I started with FS. Have secured our first gallery, they will be doing a show in August. This is a joint venture, I do all the throwing and my bride does the glazing. So much fun!j

This poem, Season of the Mind, Body, Soul II, has a great message delivered in this well-penned verse. The mind and the body and the soul are separate and work together. Nice.

Hi Jim,
This poem describes in its abab quatrains and mono-rhyme refrain how we need all three, body, mind and soul to be whole people. It shows how they are formed and change as we age.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Joan

I am immediately captivated by a piece of literature that features the metamorphoses of a tiger swallowtail butterfly. In connection to his poem, JLR intends, I think, for the three stages of the butterfly's life that are depicted - larva, chrysalis, adult/imago - to stand for the three components of being that the poem fluidly describes. I find it hard to be sure which butterfly stage is which part of the human being. The caterpillar/larva is about growth and accumulation of what's needed for transformation; the chrysalis is the place where transformation occurs; and the adult butterfly, the imago, is the realization of the two stages that precede it. It's a lovely poem and a thought-provoking set of images.

Hi Frank, always, my thanks! I thought the image of the metamorphic
changes in the three stages of a butterfly create a worldview picture of how human beings also transition, mentally, physically, and spiritually in one's lifetime.

Be well, JLR. I'm working to enter the imago stage - no sign of wings yet. Frank

That's very nice! I like the way you thought of your theme of body, mind and soul, and then developed and shaped each of these. I am enjoying your month of poems.

Hi JLR,

I enjoyed the imagery and rhyme in this piece.

Your presentation is excellent and the refrain line was so well chosen.

Excellent work!
