Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

I miss my yellow labs. My daughter has two rescue dogs and is a consitent contributor to the local rescue mission. I believe Doris Day was a huge spokesperson for the protection and safe keeping of our 4-legged friends.

    Ciao !

Wish there were more people like your daughter who take at heart the problem.

Sorry my words upset you... no matter how many years pass, no pet is forgotten.

I knew Doris Day did comedy and was very popular, glad to hear she advocated for the protection and safe keeping of our 4 legged friends.

Thanks for the extra shiny star. (smiles)

This is a good entry into the ABC contest. The text is a great size. The message centered around the abuse of dogs is clearly stated. I wish you had done more with the last few lines than just give possible names for dogs. Perhaps better to tell the reader the abuser was caught. As a dog owner and lover that would be my wish. The heartbreaking visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

I see you point but did you read my notes below?

The last lines are connected to the two the dogs on the right and left , they were on death row.

After they were photographed, they were put down.

    Thanks for reviewing my poem.

What kind of dog do you have ?

This is just heartbreaking! The dogs you have pictured have such sweet eyes too. (I blew them up with my super magnifier.) You did a wonderful job telling their plight in this difficult poetry form. Thank you for sharing.

My best to you always, and in the upcoming vote.

Their plight is the plight of far too many so called pets.

Those two pics really are heart wrenching.

    Betrayed in every way.

I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.

    Keep safe!

This is a powerful and tragic write about the cruelty of some people who abandon and starve their dogs and they deserved to be incarcerated for this, a poignant write, love Dolly x

Sadly, abusive treatment is on the rise.

The pic of those two dogs really disturbed me.

I think people caught mistreating animals should be forced to help out in a shelter or do social work to make them understand that every life matters.

And that they should treat others like we would want to be treated with respect and kindness.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

    Keep safe!
