nomi338,

This is a well written poem about the state many find themselves mired in when grieving loved ones and how they are unable to get themselves free from the mourning process. Well done.

All the best,

Eugene

A very powerful and necessary message to keep one's memory but to move on with life. In my own family, I have seen members mourn a loss of decades, with one set of parents seeking to console with alcohol while their remaining children wallow. Another parent, on losing his wife, became lost and depressed and used alcohol to dull the pain.
I am hoping that a recent loss in the family does not have the same result.
Best regards,
Mary

I sympathize with you in your losses. I understand the difficulty in letting go. I myself, struggle in letting go of my oldest daughter. It has been hard, but necessary.

Brilliant. I totally agree with your words on death and grieving. I look upon the body as a suitcase that carries our soul around. When our race is run we are taken to the blessed Son. K xx

The subject of this poem is very important and it is handled with understanding and compassion--but with a clear message to help those caught up in grief to find a way out.
It flows very well and the rhyme works well, too. The picture is very pertinent, being the last view to be seen of the loved one who has passed on. That, in itself, contributes to the grief, so only a different perspective can help.
Well done! I really enjoyed it.

A very different take on mourning and the management of grief. The question asked by the grandmother makes complete sense, although it's harder to do than to say,
I thoroughly enjoyed the idea and the work!

Mourning our loved ones is a hellish journey and it takes its toll on our mind and body and can completed sap our energy, I have been through it a few times and the sorrow eat away at us if we let it. Your poem is emotional and also faithful, much enjoyed, love Dolly x x x

This is appointment and sad write. it speaks to me about missing a parent in a fundamental way
Now not every time you think of your loved one. It will be home for her or him it will be quickly crossed. It could be a lifetime but home.

I've never said that money dollars is to you and yours? I hope you are all well. I find out if there's a error or suggestions for change for this great work. I said take a shower out of the bathank you for your support. Patting me back and say congratulations!

I really enjoyed this poem and the message it sends.

My sisters been paralyzed to a greif since her son died at 23. The grieving process is very difficult. I've been there through it with her still.

Strange coincidence, The anniversary of my father's death of 39 years was just an other day on the 13th.

It was a message from God for me to read this poem today.

I loved it!

-Kerry

"How can the deceased find release if we refuse to let them go -
good advice and a great line for this poem about letting go of mourning, and allowing the grief process to release. Beautifull written Nomi

Thank you for a wonderful meditation. You're right that we can get overcome by grief. Even old Elijah got depressed and couldn't move beyond until God spoke to him.
I agree that we can keep departed loved ones in memory and not let our grieving hurt our relationships around us. Beautifully said, Nomi! Great life lesson!
