yes, repeating the same mistake over and over can be a sign of insecurity. She needs to hold her head high and concentrate on her own accomplishments. Some shy people have a hard time showing their strong side, but it's worth trying - as I have found out, myself, and still have trouble with. :)

Lea, you have written a very emotional senryu. I don't know to you can get so much pathos in so few words, but you do. The artwork does illustrate the poem nicely. One suggestion, consider increasing the size of the text. Some of the older readers will appreciate it. Well done. Terry.

Wow - you fit volumes in three lines. An amazing artistic presentation, imagery and visuals.
A well written senryu, albeit, a bit sad. I very much liked "sorrow in torrents" and "the prince of pain".
Good luck in the contest, it should do very well.

Excellent poem. I've known men just like that--was actually in love with one a long time ago. A friend of mine told me that such behavior was common among children of alcoholics. I don't know that for a fact, but it was true in the case of man I mentioned. Great job.

Your poem makes me think, I like that. Everyone gets in moods like this, trick is to learn how to get out of it. If you don't it leads to depression and you become suicidal. If the person can't shake the feeling, get help. Great entry.

This is a senryu with a message. All syllables are in check to relay a negative scene of control. To suffer needlessly does change a person - mind and behavior. An insightful read. I personally would not say - Prince - more like something that rhymes with brick. Best of luck in the competition.
