What a beautiful poem! I wish I had a sixer left for you.
I love all the alliterations you use, but my favourite is to climb in curls. It's really quite original.
Thanks so much for sharing.

Congratulations, Jessica, on your first-place win.
I enjoyed your sweet little story. The alliterations
worked well. Your words were descriptive. I could
see everything you mentioned. Great art choice.

Congratulations on taking home the winning blue ribbon. I enjoyed your T, C, B, W alliterations running through the first 4 vereses.

Edit note: The poem is in present and past tenses. It's proper grammar even for poetry. Try to stick to one and run with it. So, -ing or -ed.

Nice work :)

Absolutely above average and appropriately awarded as alliteration contest winner! Sorry...the use of alliteration was very well considered and not simply a jumble as my opening sentence here! The 7, 7 and rhyme scheme shows the consideration of your alliteration and was a unique way to separate it from others!

Great job and Congrats on the win!

Excellent, I totally enjoyed the alliterating alliteration. You displayed remarkable skills in your thrilling description of an energetic, athletic youngster having a ball enjoying life through all of the possibilities that the life of a youngster entails and allows.

No wonder it won the rhyming contest. You have a wonderfully written poem. An excellent picture to illustrate the imagery that goes great together. It reminds me of when I climbed the tree at my grandmother's house with my cousin Sherri. She was a year younger and could outclimb me...seventy years ago. Excellent. Terry.

Thank you for sharing this tribute to girls writing prompt entry with us. I raised four boys, low and behold my boys have had daughters. I have enjoyed watching my granddaughters climb trees and participate in sports. I enjoyed reading.

You captured this childhood moment of excitement at the world, a girl reaching out for this bird. It is a strong symbol of reaching out for your dreams. Here the bird image can embody hope, but also the fragility of dreams, how they can be here one minute and gone the next. so it's a complex image. estory
