A lovely poem for this time of year. I like in a rural part of UK and outside many houses are beautiful displays of Spring flowers- specially daffodils and crocus. The lyrical quality of this poem captures this very well!

What a lovely poem!
I like how you rhyme effortlessly; I wish I could do that.
Crocuses are beautiful and I love spring, but it makes me fear the coming summer. The truth is I like winter better.
Thanks so much for this. Lovely presentation as well, BTW.

A lovely, lyrical poem of delight over springtime, blooming crocusses, and the end of winter. Pretty accompanying picture, too.
Reading your sescription of your winters makes me glad I live where we have a mild climate - except in summer. Horrid.
Your words are descriptive, with good meter and rhyme. All together, very satisfying :)

Hi EM, This is a lovely poem and yes, I love to see the crocuses, in Spring, they seem to be one of the first to appear in my garden and I always smile when I see them. Nice presentation, good meter and rhyme
Cheers Chris

I loved this beautiful poem. There is no way it could be any better. You have not only described spring in all her beauty but also show how we are moved by her return. It is a time of rebirth and reflection. Your final verse says it all perfectly. Just beautiful!

Such a wonderful poem about spring. An interesting image of the sorceress and her ball of magic light. I particularly enjoyed your last stanza-that 'spring wakes all the senses and fills the soul' is something I feel as well as 'your inspiration is a poet's stroll.' Thank you for sharing your lovely poem.

This was like finding a beautiful secret garden in the middle of the city. You described each bloom in exquisite detail. I could see the tiny but might crocus popping up from the snow covered ground. I really enjoyed this little gem. Gretchen

Very good poem for the advent of spring. I hope winter is behind us, but I can recall snowstorms in April. Global warming may take care of that. Line eleven is a gem.

How lovely it is to have spring and to read your tribute poem in honor of her, dear Muse. She is quite beautiful, adorned with heavenly flowers and scent. The magnolias here are intoxicating!
Sublime offering and aptly illustrated.
Sending you my best today as always,

Comment from Mario PIERRE
Extremely beautiful poem, written in three quatrains in perfect iambic pentameter. It reveals the true colours of spring, which we all long for. The description is lyrical and the verses are read with delectation, as a picture draws itself all along to finish with the full-scale image of SPRING.
I so wanted you to add a couplet, to make this one unique sonnet in hommage to spring...
Great job!
