Hi Jessica,
This poem shows how illogical our minds can be at times. I assume the tools in the artwork is what you used to fix the chair not the duct tape. Though that might have worked too. It has a hint of humor, which I like.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Good luck in the contest
Joan

Cute and clever this Haiku speaks volumes while writing unassuming notes of grandeur.
I love the picture and the hammer and duct tape show everything that is needed to be shown. Thank you for entering the contest this was a sure bet to win at least something!

Very thought provoking and interesting poem! I like how it's about fixing the chair but it could have an underlying meaning. Have a good day and good luck in the contest! :)

So much can be done with Duck tape. Mind you I use the term Duck because its an actual brand of water resistant heavy tape that comes in a variety of colours. My dad was an electrician so to me duct tape is the silver meshy tape. But they are correctly used interchangeably.

That is too funny- my dad is an electrician, as well and that's exactly my duct tape! Haha

Hi Jessica, Ha ha duct tape come in handy for many things. I remember fixing a hem on my Nurses uniform with duct tape it lasted for ages even through washing and ironing lol. I have a very handy husband so not much duct tape here.
I liked your humour great satori line lol

Cheers Chris

lol that's too funny, Chris. My husbands become quite handy, but he's been known to duct tape quite a bit on the road to learning! Thank goodness for YouTube tutorials! Haha

You are going to find this terribly bizarre, but I am the duct tape grandma. If you look at any of my poem that tell about my grandkids there will be a part that tells of making projects and stacked them as high as we could. Now I traded them in for my crafts like I made you. It;s not that I want to completely grow up, and I refuse to by the way, but I do now have my own tools too. Sorry got carried away again, but your post was so cute and once again I could so relate. Awesome job Jess, and always such fun. Best of luck in the contest!!

This is a great, humorous haiku which I thoroughly enjoyed. So simple yet so effective with perfect image to match. Also think it skilfully sums up the economic language so often used in partnerships. Thanks for sharing, Debbie

Haha! Nice! I like it. A little levity in a nice short poem
It's funny and gave me a chuckle! Thank you for that! . I see no grammatical errors with your poem and it's aesthetically pleasing as well. It's light and it's not too deep and dark and it's a nice break from all the emotional. There in the world so excellent work with a great submission hope you have an awesome day!

I guess you have a McGyver in your house. Duct tape and paper clips is all that's needed to fix almost anything. My "go-to" is Gorilla glue!

Your poem gave me a chuckle this morning.

Thank you,
John

Your husband sounds like he is big on DIY and it is good to have someone around who can fix things. I pretty much fix everything myself in my home! Ha ha ha, jack of all trades, that's me. I enjoyed your fun Haiku Jessica, love Dolly x x x
