powerful and moving tribute to a woman and her late lost child. I loved the image, the message and the words. I like the last lines the best

She's with you every day
No need to say goodbye
Just know someday you'll play
With Lucy in the sky

The small planet found filled of diamonds. Also, a movie that I still must watch. I enjoyed reading your poem. Well thought out. Clearly written. Nice poetic tone set. I'm baffled about the last stanza. Do you view it as a heaven ? Or do you think spacecowboys would sell the minerals to jewelers ?

This is a beautiful poem, Jessica. You've turned a sad subject into something both cheerful and hopeful. I loved the imagery you used ("the stars lighting your path," "the wind echoes her laugh," "a kiss of sun she'll send.")

I'm sure the loss of her child was devastating to Katy, but I'm also sure she'll find some solace in this lovely poem. Jim

Hi Jessica What beautiful words, and so nicely presented, lovely rhyme and meter. It did remind my of the Beatles song Lucy in the Sky with diamonds,
I am sure you friend Katy will treasure this and her Lucy will always be with her. A heartfelt lovely poem worthy of a six

Oh my gosh, I am so sorry to read this in your author notes. I do like how you assure the grieving mom that even though physically the child isn't there, she will never be forgotten. All the mother has to do is look around her. Beautifully written. My condolences to the family. Gretchen

This is a heartwarming and comforting poem to a mother who has lost a daughter. I can relate. I lost a daughter, a few hours after birth, years ago. In your poem, you've included well chosen words of beauty and inspiration. Your artwork pairs perfectly. I almost expected to see traces of Lucy in the clouds.

Wow, what a beautiful, heartwarming verse for your friend who grieves. I pray your endearing words will lift her face to the sunshine, and that she will find all that you say to be true. Lucy if looking down on her from above. Exquisitely crafted.
