Loyalty is a tricky one as it involves emotions and when we are upset we tend to betray people. Some people are fickle and do not value loyalty, but I do and I think it is important to be loyal even when that person has hurt you, I suppose loyalty is the sister to integrity here. Being loyal to someone who continually criticises you is a tough call and not many would be loyal in these circumstances. I loved this particular post because being disloyal brings out the worst in people. Another fine post in this series Bill. Love Dolly x

Thank you, Dolly. I had this example of my daughter's husband that struck me. He is such a genuine and forthright person, it makes me happy they found each other.

I am pleased for your daughter, it is comforting for a Father to know his daughter is being looked after properly by someone special x x x

I think my employer value loyalty highly and it usually pays off in the long run. I love the cartoon. Poor Dagwood was always gettting kicked and fired by his boss but he hung in there.
I know Donald Trump put a high price on loyalty, but many of his staff found out that being loyal meaning lying for him and actaully doing things that couold very well send them to jail. There is a point when loyalty is too high a price to pay.

I had originally used Trump as an example of the negative aspects of loyalty, but I went on and on until I had to just eliminate him from the essay.
