De he should have listened to momma about that shirt! May maybe it
into more than dance lessons in due time with the pretty lady that once knew his wife and make his momma happy. Gotta Italian mommas !

This is a neat story. I love it. It sounds like he just met the perfect Italian girl, but his mother was right about the shirt. She doesn't like it.

Nice work, and the ending was spot on. Momma knew best all along.

How do you feel about the Bronx Bombers chances this year. I follow the Phillies and they seem to be as a year ago. Lots of HRs and more K's.
It will come down to manage the staff and the pen.

Mama?s know best! Thanks for reading.

As for the Yankees, who knows. We need Donaldson to step up his offensive game, one or two kids to step into the team and our pitching has to remain strong? and as few injuries as possible. Then maybe we?ll be second best again? hahaha

Oh John, this is precious! I just loved everything about this. Mama sounds like my mama as she taught us the importance of a first impression. It was carried through to the end of the story with the dance instructor's suggestion. Romance and dance look very promising.

Sending you my best today as always, and blessings to you and yours.

This is a sweet story. skilfully told: just one tiny thing; a 'to' about halfway through should be 'too'. Easily done. I think would easily get published in one of those weekly mags that has a mixture of articles, letters, cute photos, puzzles and... reader's short stories. Enjoy your writing, Julie L

Hmph, one minor correction rates a four in your mind and that it could be published. Very confusing.
Anyway, I thank you for reading and sharing that you feel it could be published.

No, it wasn't the typo... I felt that the dialogue was a bit too formal, and it didn't light any fires in me. But those family mags love those sweet little stories. Really, I didn't think a 4 was such a bad thing. But I got a 4 when the others were 5's and6's. We're all individuals with individual preferences. Ciao and bella fortuna (or something), Julie L
