This is beautifully written and presented like all your poems. I agree with what you say about the calming effect of the sea. I'm going to the beach tomorrow for four days and I'm really looking forward to it.
Thanks for sharing.

I like the idea of the waning sun having loud thoughts having them quelled by those pounding waves distracting enough to drown out those thoughts, some wonderful poetic language, well done, blessings Roy

I meant the observer (a person) feels calm listening to the waves sound.)

What a beautiful poem about the roaring ocean. But I'm a little confused. In the second line, you said, "calm ocean" but in the third line it became, "loud". I know tide causes the waves in the ocean.

Well done.

I added a note in my author notes. I was thinking of cars, people, animals making noise. Or if you are in bed and can't go to sleep ocean sounds is very soothing. I'll check it out.

Loved the assonance of the three words in the final line: drowns loud sounds. There is something really calming about the ocean waves on the sand and twilight brings a quieter time of the day. Enjoyed this haiku!

Oh good, you get it. A couple of people were confused eventhough I added an explanation to my author notes. (*/*)

Again, a short poem packed with a lot of emotion. The terms pours is emotional and develops the entire poem. The corresponding "drowns" term protects the poem. Very interesting! Good luck!

The satori in this one has definitely got me pondering, as "calm ocean" I am pondering what noise might be drowned out, that is the beauty of haiku, beautifully written and presented****kahpot

The loud sounds could be other people or cars, etc... Also if you are in bed listening to ocean sounds on your cellphone. Thank you, Jacqueline. I appreciate that you took the time to read and review my poem. Great feedback. Have a wonderful night (or day).

Yes. I love this. "A moment in nature" is conveyed so beautifully. The ocean's calming force drowning out all noise, both physical and mental. Perfect. Great colour scheme and illustrations that seem to perfectly interact with each other. Jacqueline
