I had to look at this because I once had a cat named Vader. It looks like this Vader is adorable and a great friend. I like the Yoda grammar to bring in that "Star Wars" feeling to your verse. Nice rhyming too.
It looks like you took third in the contest. Congratulations.

I love that you've had a Vader, too! I'm surprised at how rarely I hear that. Thanks so much!

Very humurous twist on Darth Vader. Imagine if your image was an animation and Vader said, "Luke, I am your father." ð???
Lovely poem. Well composed and a great way to start my day. Jacqueline

Love the pic of your dog and your words fit him perfectly. I like the analogy to Star Wars. This dog looks like the Force is definitely with him. Excellent poem for this fun contest.

Congratulations on your 5-7-5 Pet Poetry writing. With just those few words I feel I know a lot about your dog Vader, strong, loving and loyal. What more could you want from your dog? I thought the poem was very well written. I haven't tried to write a 5-7-5 poem yet, but yours gives me ideas.

Excellent entry for the 5-7-5 Pet Poetry writing prompt contest. I love the Star Wars reference lol
I like the presentation too. Concrete images easy to visualize.
Good syllables count and connection between lines.

A very well-groomed dog. The image is gorgeous. The dog must be powerful on a leash. Where did you get the name, Vader? Have not heard this name before, but there must be a meaning.

Thank you so much, he is a strong one! Named after Darth Vader of Star Wars :)

I think "Yoda" speak works very well here, as "Vader" seems way too lovable to ever be on the dark side of anything but the beautiful coat he is blessed with! Handsome indeed! Speaking of treats ~ this was a treat of a 5-7-5!
May the force be with VADER!

Yay, to Vader...and you!

Sometimes I think my dogs are also on the dark side. It's as if I have a house full of three year olds. You did a marvelous job with your pet poem. Good luck in the contest. Shirley

Thank you so much, Shirley! How many dogs do you have? My kids relentlessly try and convince me that Vader needs a buddy. I'm starting to cave!

I have 5 little ones in the house and 4 large in the back. They are all rescues, but two. My fear is, what happens to the dogs if something happens to me? Go ahead and cave, I can't image being without mine. They are work at times, but the reward is great.

Vader looks like a strong, beautiful dog. I'm honestly not quite following the flow of words describing Vader, but the look in his eyes does induce strength.
Best of luck in the contest, my friend!

Just to clarify- lines one and three are structured that way intentionally. Its meant to reference Star Wars character "Yoda" and his unique dialect. Reason being- Vader was named after another character from this movie- Darth Vader
Comment from Sandra Nelms-Ludwig
This is a good entry into the 5-7-5 Pet contest. The text is a great size. The second line is stated with clarity. However, lines one and three are awkwardly worded. This makes the message unclear. Vader is a regal and attractive dog. Good luck in the contest.

You are welcome. I may be one of the few on the planet that never watched any of the Star Wars movies. Perhaps, put that info in the AN for the few people like me. I will change my rating because of your explanation.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! Excellent suggestion, I will do that!
