Barbara.
Your chapter flowed smoothly and was well written on a friendship or possible romance between Seth and Emma. Your last chapter ended with a proper dose of intrigue leaving the reader questioning what may or may not be involved.

I gotta get Tom to see why you are not coming up on my message board!

Good post. John

Your story does sound like something is going to happen to the new girl in town. Emma is always having problems with her dog running out at night and getting into mischief.

This is very good. You also ended on a good cliffhanger. Now I have to wait to see that the car was doing there. I hope we find out soon why the sheriff keeps shaking his head. It has negative connotations. It's also a very interesting, odd habit.

It does have negative connotations. We'll get to the bottom of it eventually. Thank you for the kind review.

I'm enjoying the story. Seth sounds very concerned about the neighborhood safety. Is there a reason to think some may happen and she needs to nervous about going out with dog at night. I'll be waiting to read more. Fixin' is southern, not just Texas. I've heard it all my life.

Still a top writer in my estimation. A lovely continuance to your lovely new book. I have gotten (terrible American word for "become") used to your style and your "hallmarks" are all over your books exclusive to you. One of my wife's favourite hymns is "Victory In Jesus!" Mine too. I hope someone out there grabs on to some of your stuff for a mini-series or movie. Just ONE spag today! at my parent[']s(')." I hope Roy Owens reads your stuff.

A little different from your past stories, in as much as the early scenes were set in church with Emma, urged by her godfather and Pastor Pat, she had to sing an impromptu number, while she was unprepared, a dislike that, I could do it, bu I don't like it. Later She gets to know her young man, well done Barbara, blessings Roy

I found this writing brought memories of my old days in the ministry. It was always good when having people of talent entertain us with a song near their hearts. Good one, Barb.

I'm glad it brought back old memories. Since being a military spouse for 23 years, we've had many church homes. I've found that the smaller churches brought more fellowship. Maybe it was just me.

No, smaller churches seem to have more freedom than larger churches, but it is where the Holy Spirit dwells, both large and small that counts.

Aren't you in Arkansas? I always think of it as being in the south. We use fixin all the time here in Oklahoma. I'm always fixin to do something or another. You did a great job as usual. I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Enjoy your Sunday afternoon. Shirley

For some reason, I have always thought you were in Arkansas. What part of Texas do you live in?

Right outside the Fort Hood area, Hill Country.

Your chapter ending left me intrigued. Seth sees headlights of a car and wonders what it's doing there. Is Emma going to have some kind of problem coming up? Maybe with a stalker? I like the friendly atmosphere with the church and the pastor coming to dinner. I remember that our pastor sometimes came to dinner when I was a child. Sounds like a delicious dinner, too. Emma seems at ease with Seth, as she's invited him to join her for a meal of leftovers. It's fun to picture Ace "herding" Molly. Great beginnings for your new novel. judi

It wasn't too long at all. You've left me handing, wondering who's coming up the road. I smell a mystery and a romance in the air. I love Ace! I can hardly wait to read more.
