What an idyllic place that must have been! It's a shame these days when young ones growing up in a city miss out on such natural beauty and tranquility. Thank you for sharing a bit of your childhood. I enjoyed the visit.

Your use of parallel structure works well here. The speaker wants others to enjoy nature as much as he/she does. Well-constructed couplets. Even better would be to name a specific bird or flower.
