You couldn't have ended this any better. Congratulations. And the song by George Strait was a perfect companion piece. After listening to each of their arguments individually, though, for not allowing themselves to be vulnerable enough to lead with their love ... I'm left with only one thing to say: I'd hate to be waiting for dinner with them while they are deciding whether it will be steak or chicken. Good job, Barbara. When it's published, I'll be recommending it to anyone who wants to read a fine romance.

Well, all's well that ends well. They certainly blew hot and cold. I felt the ending could have benefitted slightly from developing what pushed Ali into changing her mind. I know there was a lot of implicit suggestions that she hadn't really wanted to leave, but she did. So something must have driven her U-turn. kay

Bravo!!! I loved this saga, Barbara! It seemed to be touch and go for a short time, but the outcome was quite worth the suspense. I do remember the honeymoon plans. I'm going to miss the characters in this story, but I'm sure, as you said, there is another on the way. However, I wonder what Cord and Ali's children would look like and what kind of people they would be! I loved this! Best, JohnC

I know this sounds crazy, but are you sure you didn't rush the ending?
Did you omit any Ali ruminations during the week she was in New York in order to 'surprise' the readers?

I don't think so, but I will take a second look. Another reviewer said the same thing. My feelings are that any thoughts Ali might have in New York would be redundant. Thank you for the kind review.

Great ending. I like the touch with the auction. Ali was the highest bidder, with more money than they're accustomed to seeing at these auctions. One thing that doesn't sit well with me is Ali's dad and grandfather opening a branch in Lobo. She is perfectly capable of starting her own office. She would be better off without them. Her family has always paved the way for her, but she doesn't see that. She's beginning to do well on her own, so she should steer clear of her family' business. Tell Ali I said so. Congratulations on your fine work with this novel. judi
