It's a very sad thing when faced with the imminent death of a loved one. It's good that the children are working together amicably.
As for formatting, I always put stage directions in brackets.

Ciao!

We all react differently when confronted with death.

Some people lose control and their emotions have the better, ( I would be in tears non stop)

in others a defensive mechanism kicks in to cope with a painful situation like a dying parent.

Carol is a tough cookie and eased her meeting with some banter and her father went along with it.

It helped lighten a hurting moment.

Your father definitely had a sense of humour.. I did have to laugh about the cod liver and the neighbour's cat. ( wink)

My father was always eating prunes and drinking prune juice.

When an elderly dies often the other half follows soon after mainly because left alone to cope with the loss.

.. but your father was not burdened with that thought cause he knew he could count on his children , that they would be a constant support to his beloved half after his passing.

That s no small thing.

Legal issues often cause problems you don't mention any despite you were in 9.

You continue to understand all the characters quite nicely. Good work.

Congratulations and nice try on a screen play. I am not sure what format you are using to write your screenplay, but there are several templates on line that will help you with setting your work in the correct format. I would also recommend you read several screenplays on the genre you are writing in so that you can get the gest of how they unfold. Have you considered using the "Save the Cat Story Structure format to structure your story? Again, congratulations and good luck.

Thanks for the advice. If I continue to write additional scripts I will definitely work on format. This was a singular effort (nine scenes) that I decided to do as a family project. Thanks again

I liked the character of Carol, I mean when one is with a beloved dying parent, how does one behave? Depends on the the person dying I guess, on their sense of occasion, no one wants to be uncertain of things, this a a well constructed script with a good sense of occasion, well done, blessings Roy

Good morning.

Another short and direct scene, with both dad as well as conversations outside of his room amongst the children trying to piece together all the steps needed for this terrible situation.

Suggestion: THAT`S RIGHT DAD. WE`LL BE LOCK-IN-STEP.

â?¢ I think the saying is- we'll be in lock-step.

I wasn't sure who Linnea is?

Good post.
John

Thanks. I will look at the in lock-step. I think you are right. Linnea was introduced earlier as Dan?s wife. Thanks for reading and the comments. Cheers
