Barbara,
This is a great installment of your novel. I'm pulling for the couple to get together.it seems everyone but Alexandra and Cordero knows how much they love each other.
Nice dialogue and nice fast pace.
Good luck with all of your writing,
Barbara.

I think they both know it. It's just the problem of Texas and New York City. Thank you for the kind review. Let's see who gives in or will either of them??

This builds up the reader's hopes and expectations only for them to be crushed! No doubt the writer intends to keep the reader waiting for the proverbial happy ending!

Cowboys evidently have heartaches, too. A chapter full of sadness and misunderstanding. You posted this at the appropriate time, being it was valentine's day yesterday. I like your story.

Well, I could give you a six on every post if I usually had one to give, but I was happy to have one today for this chapter that socked me in the gut. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

This is another excellent chapter. This chapter is full of drama. I hope they kiss and make up in the next one. There is no room for improvement. In your notes, there are (is) one post left.

Sorry to be so late to this, dear Barbara. I was enjoying my Valentine's Day dinner and romantic evening with my love. I hope you had a wonderful time too.

Anyway, splendid book chapter, albeit sad. Hopefully one of them speaks up and breaks the silence. It would be heartbreaking if they didn't pursue their relationship. The love song by Jason Andean and Carrie Underwood is perfect. Thanks for that too!

Sending you my very best.

I love how this chapter doesn't le t the reader get what they want quite so easily!! But it is so true of most relationships too where one partner is expecting a certain response or action and the other is hopeful for another and both want to feel loved but the message gets mixed. 1 more chapter!! Thanks Barbara for sharing with us.

Ah the chivalry of Cordero is completely misunderstood by Ali. I hope Cord will get up the nerve to say all that is in his heart. But it helps that is mother speaks up for him!

Your notes say the next post will be the 19th. That's a Sunday not Wednesday! I'm hoping it will be Sunday!

Minor punctuation nits:
"I thought you'd like it. (closed quotes needed)
"I leave in the morning?" (she's not sure and that's why the question mark?)

Women! Who can understand them? Cordero can seem kind of dim-witted when it comes to Ale, but I think I would have done the same thing as Cord if she gave all the reasons she had to leave but didn't include the reason he needed to hear about why she wanted to stay. Both of them are playing games instead of speaking from their hearts.

Mom called," interrupted Alexandra. [Perhaps minor, but I don't see that she interrupted him.]

I'll tell you one thing, though ... this was one dynamic chapter and the stakes are being raised for the climactic chapter.

Shocking development. I don't get why she's claiming that Cord doesn't want her because he didn't ask her to stay and that she'd been praying he would--he had certainly made clear he wanted her to stay but she rushed away and slammed the door.
