A very lovely soundtrack of afternoons and Kildeer-s trill.
A beautiful combination of memory triggered by Nature-s symphonies.
What wonder themes, imagery and sentiment that flourishes in this poem. Truly enjoyable to read.

I absolutely loved this poem about the songs that most impacted your life. It is a beautiful tribute to nature, but also to your father who took time to encourage your love and appreciation of God's creation. The meter and rhyme are flawless and the message is so artistically conveyed. It is a poem that could easily be published. I know it will do well in this contest. MM

I love this take on the soundtrack idea! Nature is full of song, and I love the way you describe the songs of different birds. I do have one comment about the second stanza: when you say, "And on those days when he'd get free" I feel the antecedent is unclear. I wasn't sure if "he" referred to the Bobwhite, the chickadee, or your father. Or what he's getting free from. I thought that could use some clarification. The iambic tetrameter is steady, as is your rhyme scheme. The repetition in the first and last stanza works well as a close to your poem. Nicely done.

So very pleased my offering resonated with you.
Regarding the second stanza: Noted and amended with deepest gratitude.
Oh... and the last stanza is a slight variation of the first stanza... to share with readers that birdsong still is my life's soundtrack... Well, that and Josh Turner! :)
    Thank you!

-Very nice artwork and presentation.
-A well written poem with effective imagery and rhyme.
-I like how you use nature as your soundtrack.
-With some warmer weather here in NJ for a change,
the birds are all singing their favorite songs.
-I agree that music is soothing.
-You have many good examples of the birds
and their songs in your area.
-These are my favorite lines:
"Yes, nature's songs are symphonies
Sung from a branch or on the breeze."
-I like the repetition of the opening and closing lines.
-Good luck in the contest.

Wonderful poem entry for the The Soundtrack of Your Life contest. Relationship with fathers are so important for someone's life.

The rhymes and meter are not forced and your words flow smoothly.

I love the imagery and presentation.

I enjoyed this very much as it brough back memories of my father`s love of the songs birds would sing. He was a fine whistler and would entertain us with various shrills of his own. A very nice work. Good luck

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. Your father was a wise man. My favorite time if the day is early mornings. I sit outside with my cup of tea, not a coffee drinker, and listen to the birds wake up. It's beautiful music. Good luck with the contest.

This is a good one. I am a bird lover and have a few feeders. I enjoy watching them. I have seen almost every bird on our feeders or on our lawn that appears in your picture. What is the bird that is in back of the robin?

My guess is that bird is a Junco?photographs = better approximation than artwork most often?

    Thank you, again

What a lovely poem to wake up to this morning. It's bright, joyous imagery is enough to lighten the heart and head off into the day. I loved the way you described the different birds' songs, it made me smile to read the way the Jay was quick to scold! Lol. Well done, this was a fabulous contest entry and I wish you the best of luck. :)) Sandra xx
