Thank you for sharing it with us! I followed along swept up in your real-life story. How true it is that our lives can be linked to certain songs which remain in our hearts and minds as solid as the memories evoked! I have the same two songs on my "funeral " list... I want to see him again, at that pace where I'll really get "high." (smile) Excellent entry here!

It has been a fun life. I thank the Navy for showing me the world and telling me what I did for America was why I was there, but have a good time on liberty. I've lived life that way. Glad you visited and enjoyed the story.

I really enjoyed this fascinated read of a snippet in time and I remember is well from across the pond. Of course the Beatles were such big stars and yet they were very down to earth lads from Liverpool and they featured on my school satchel for years! It was a magical period in musical history and I am so glad I had the privilege to live through those years. You probably don't know Cilla Black and Dusty Springfield, Marianne Faithful, Sandie Shaw and Lulu. I enjoyed your own personal story here and I hung onto every word, very entertaining and much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Wasn't it fun, those 60s days with all the original sounding music? It launched my enjoyment of life. Had it not been for experiences and influences I had in the 60s and early 70s, I would have never been where life took me. And to share music all these years, what a Blessing! So glad you stopped by to share the memories.
