Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

I spent a relaxing weekend reviewing your works, seeing what I have missed. Obviously a lot and I couldn't cover it all.

But I was shocked to find this little gem. Love the double edged meaning of the last line.

The shocking fact that it had no six star rating immediately forced me to right a wrong in the universe and award it one. A delightful bonus was the knowledge that I could bump it into the recognized position.

Fantastic piece, my friend. Fantastic.

Your create vivid imagery in your well-chosen words. You know how to make a provoking statement that gets the reader pondering about the human impact on nature.
Excellent notes to help understand the threats to the forest, as well as the history and detail of the poetry form.

Shame these trees are still being cut down and many of our trees are preserved. A great point made here, these are magnificent trees too, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Probably fifty-five years ago, my father took us on a vacation to see the Redwood National Forest. I'm glad he did. I can still remember in astonishment the size of the trees. It's sad to hear they're being cut down. Thank you for sharing this club entry with us.

Your poem is very good. I have seen the giant redwood trees and they are beautiful. I appreciate this writing. Not only was your poem, thoughtful, but I appreciate so much the notes that you gave at the end of your writing . Patricia.

Little do us human beings realize the great value of our Beautiful Earth, our Green Earth, the place of our birth.
Without these wonderful things?
Yes and even the oceans below, we would not have the oxygen necessary to breathe.
Thanks for sharing this and have a blessed day.

I like your haiku poem- excellent picture presentation- came to CA in 1950-1961 - joined the Navy - spent a lot of time in the Redwoods- amazing!!! Termite resistant- to hard for them to chew- a tribute to their longevity- the gross influx of people has definitely affected the state adversely- trees too- good job AP

Termites would find redwoods virtually impossible to chomp, they are a very hard word, much more danger from the two legged termites rather than the six llegged ones, beautifully written Gypsy, blessings Roy

This is an extremely telling Haiku. It made me want to rage against the predators that destroy something so beautiful. Then I began to wonder. Are we really as destuctive as termites? The answer of course is yes, with our senseless wars. kay

I'd love to visit the California area where the redwood trees are growing. They usually are huge trees and have several trunks. Like your poem. I am sure these trees are old, so they do have termites within them.
