I am out of six stars but it is worth it. Texas sunset, wow, how beautiful they are. When cacti bloom . So the dog knocks the girl into the pool? Wow, as always, you do good with this.

So once again Cord has come to Ali's aid, rescuing her as the dog pushes her into the pool. I am glad that there are only a few posts left, anxious for him to pop the question.

I do enjoy your stories. You make me feel like I'm watching a movie, so when something isn't vividly clear, I stop and have to reread. That doesn't happen very often with your writing, but in this chapter, I stumbled and went back when Ali fell into the pool. I think there needs to be a little more detail to make the action clear as it is happening. Perhaps the feelings or thoughts of one of the characters as she feels the dog pushing her in, or a more blow-by-blow description of the action. You will know how to do it perfectly. I just wanted you to know that one scene wasn't very clear to me. I think you are very good with dialogue and suspense and romantic writing. I look forward to the next installment. MM

I liked this chapter so much Barbara! Definitely one of my favourites where we see feelings arise to the surface. Words longing to be said but finding the right ones at the right time is challenging. I love the obstacles in the way to true proclamations of love that keep the suspense: the lightening and storm approaching, the fall in the pool, personal guards up. So much to enjoy here. This chapter was wonderful!

Another great chapter! Things heated up quickly for the two of them, and I believe Ali was right not to let Cord in the bedroom. He promise--I think it was to her father, if I remember right, stands strong. Best, JohnC

Your romance was spot-on in this scene. It had the feel of two people who were passionately in love, and just wanted to be together. For the first time I believe in this forthcoming wedding. Just one minor point, the geography of the house seems a bit off with two visits in quick succession to Ali's room. kay

Well, Ali never got to say how much she loved Cord in all the romantic conversation which was interrupted by Samson. I liked that without the verbal affirmation, you implied the feelings they have for each other.
