This poem, Shattered, presented with ten ABAB-rhymed quatrains, makes me wonder if we should send out a team to perform a welfare check on Mr. Cheatsalot. Nice poem.

This is a very good poem For the reviewing contest. I did, however, get a real chuckle out of stanza for when you said that he was still there that he was under the rug. That was fun. Patricia.

Hi!
I really liked this a lot. I loved that she stuck him beneath the floorboards! lol

I did find one spot where my mind stumbled when I read it. I think if you swap words from:

-Actions you could never defend
to
-Actions you never could defend

the meter will work much better, and you won't lose a thing at all in the translation.

This is an awesome Betrayal Poem contest entry. It is very well written.

I like that you laid out an entire story. It started with what seemed to be a weak destroyed woman. We learn in the later stanzas that she was not quite so weak.

Is revenge sweet or bitter? It doesn't seem clear from this poem. What does come across extremely clearly is that you took revenge to the absolute limits and never wavered from your purpose. I certainly wouldn't care to cross you. Powerful poem. kay

Broken hearts are hard to mend . Don't know if one can ever trust your heart to another or even be friends once again. The feeling of loss runs vert deep.
