Meaty chapter with a lot going on. I'm always glad that justice reigns supreme for a mother and child.

A few catches from my days working with as a clerk for the public defender and for a private law firm as a legal secretary.

*The bailiff does not run the courtroom or is privy to the status of the cases. The bailiff is to protect the judge and members of the court. This is the judge's office and duty, and the judge has been briefed before entering the courtroom by the clerk of the court, not the bailiff.

*No one is held for a very long time on a warrant. Charges have to be brought at the most, within 30 days, typically, or the person is let go. Florida's is 33 days, I believe. The defendant's counsel would eat them alive if the prosecutor wasn't moving swiftly to bring the charges in a timely manner.

This chapter kept the story moving right along.
Authentic court room scenes and dialogue, very believable.
She is certainly getting justice and past due support for her client.

Karma not only visited Pat Rogers, it brought luggage and set up house keeping. I would say without reservation that the two of them are going to be a couple for a very long time. What a disgusting individual. I hope you washed your hands after writing about him. LOL.
