As usual, a wonderfully entertaining and very different story. Have you been officially published anywhere? If not, then the world is missing out. How do you choose your character names? I get the feeling that you just pluck them from the ether. Keep 'em coming, please!

    Hi Malcolm, many thanks for checking this one out.

    I have been published in short story anthologies and websites since 2015 (I only started writing prose in September 2014. Before that I was a published poet). My published pieces were mainly in science-fiction / fantasy / horror arenas. I've also been a finalist in 2 national competitions in the UK and now have 4 honourable mentions in the 'Writer's of the Future' competition.

    In regard to names, it depends. Some come right out of the ether, some are very carefully chosen. i have a thing about names. Some authors sit for a long time (some of my close friends!) trying to determine the right name for the character, profession, story etc but it's nonsense (in my opinion). You don't do that as a parent. Many parents pick their names before the kid is born. I sort of feel the same way when I chose character names. I let the character determine all of that not the name - unless I'm deliberately trying to subvert something. lol

Now I have to read Brett's story. I enjoyed this short story, and it's a great way to get readers to actually read the whole story. You've done a great job here, I'm glad Colin Ermintrude Cunnningham was shot in the end and I'm sure Brett will love this. :)) Well done. Sandra xxxx

Hi Gareth, I had to smile at this satire about the death of Brody. I hope Brett is smiling as well. I also liked the twist at the end.
Right at the beginning in your notes: aggesion should be aggression.
