Aw, that is so lovely, Willie, what an incredible family you have. I especially love the way you call them your garden. I love how you brought your darling wife into it, how she brought the flowers to your door. I just love this poem, well done! :))Sandra xx

A poem filled with love and tenderness. Choosing garden metaphors works well. It is place where things are planted, tended, and grown, like love. Beautiful!

What a lovely analogy Willie. Thinking of your children as your garden is a beautiful way to express your love for them.
Your wife must have been a wonderful mother and wife.
I enjoyed each line.

Blessings
Janet

I hope you give each of your children a copy of this touching and heartfelt poem. It is a tender and beautiful tribute to your late wife. My condolences for your loss.
" She nourished the garden and watched it grow.
Each petal different as a flake of snow.
Tended with love, they got a good start
Each petal a part of my Angel's heart."
Best wishes,
Mary

Fantastic metaphors in this poem. It's a marvelous tribute to not only your kids but your deceased wife. The "brought the flowers to my door" is particularly effective. Well done.

This is a beautifully written poem. Very touching words. She nourished the garden and watched it grow.
Each petal different as a flake of snow.
Tended with love, they got a good start
Each petal a part of my Angel's heart.

The tenderness, warmth and love is so vivid in this poem. Underlying sorrow is present too but the joyful hope and consolation of the beautiful legacy of petals and a garden of memories seems to comfort here. Such beautiful expression. Heartfelt words.

Great rhyming and easy to read. Your words are so true, children are precious gifts from God, entrusted to our care, and such a blessing to our lives.
