Beautifully written
Memories of days long gone
Still, the child that was
Is and shall be until my light goes out
I only hope it happens to
Me and
Not
To them (2girls)

Nice poem. I enjoyed reading this. Thank you for sharing. The photo was such a sweet addition to go with your words. The poem was enjoyable to read and your words flowed quite well to convey the message of the poem.

very sweet. An awakening elbow, yep, felt those a few times. The energy of a mother is Herculean. Dads have no idea. Best of luck with tis solid entry.

-Very nice image and presentation.
-You wrote a good poem for the contest.
-Effective imagery paints a good word
picture of parents nurturing their infant.
-Both love and care for their baby girl
and are attentive to her needs.
-She will benefit from that during
the course of their lives.
-Very good concluding lines, as well.
-Good luck in the contest.

It fits the topic of love with the young, shown through familial love. It's a vivid picture of life with a newborn: mom sleeping lightly, dad trying to sleep deeper, the division of labour, the long list of things a baby needs. The alliteration in the list of ways to calm a baby is lullaby-like, and fits well with the poem. Good job.

Oh yes, the raising of a child is a shared experience, the one thing males can't do, is breast feed of course, but everything else can be shared. A very well written and an intuitively scribed piece. Well done, blessings Roy

I like the words above the Title - they are so true! The poem is engaging,
descriptive and creative. I like that this is life-giving, life-loving and is a LULLABY! I found the author's words clear, filled with cooperation, and unity to take care of a baby! The artwork is awesome and compliments these words. Great Poem!

This was so sweet. It reminds me of when my first niece was born. (I have chosen not to have children, but I am a very enthusiastic aunt.)
Thank you so much for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thanks for the review. I understand. Everyone must know whether parenthood is meant for them.

I have been on duty in this nursery and experienced all these tasks in the past and a baby needs constant attention and nurturing and those days soon pass as they grow into children and then adults. The lullaby part when the baby is fed and clean is the best part, much enjoyed, love Dolly x
