It fits the topic of love with the young, shown through familial love. It's a vivid picture of life with a newborn: mom sleeping lightly, dad trying to sleep deeper, the division of labour, the long list of things a baby needs. The alliteration in the list of ways to calm a baby is lullaby-like, and fits well with the poem. Good job.

It fits the topic of love with the young, shown through familial love. Oh yes, the raising of a child is a shared experience, the one thing males can't do, is breast feed of course, but everything else can be shared. A very well written and an intuitively scribed piece. Well done, blessings Roy
