That was really going for it. Your brother was right though. If you didn't want to be where you were, then it's best to leave. Being with your best friend was really where you wanted to be. Good for you, and good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra

Seems as if you have plenty of reasons too move and you don't even mention the possibility of earthquakes! The ending suggests your brother has said this more than once when you 'vented' your unhappiness.

I've experienced several during my life there, but I was too young to remember the biggest one (1989). Yes, we had this conversation many times, but I always went deaf when he brought it up. If I'd done it ten years ago--when my best friend first moved to AR and begged me to come along, I don't think it would've had the same effect as now. Everything has its timing. This is a nice piece to me, not because its short, but you can feel the emotions running high in it. Moving is always a scary thing. Your bravery shines with your location choice...lol just kidding. Arkansas is BEAUTIFUL. Be sure to catch in the Boston Mountains, they are a must see. & Don't forget to shop till you drop in Eureka Springs! We had out honeymoon there. Stayed in a wonderful cabin out on the lake. It was awesome as is your story. Good luck.
