I glad Alan is finally out of the picture. He's looking at a lot of years. He wasn't counting on the video. This romance is shaping up nicely. Cord already has the ring in hand and at bargain for sure. Now all is left is for Ali to change her profession to family law and deside to stay where she is happy.

Thank you for the kind review. As Ali's dad said, it won't be easy for her.

The judge shows his bias in favor of Ali. I think he should sound a bit more impartial. Alan's a creep and deserves his punishment, but the judge
should avoid "licking his chops" over the sentencing. I like that Jim has been provided with his own cabin. Cord is smart to wait before proposing and offering her the beautiful ring. She needs to do more recuperating. It looks like Ali's father isn't going to interfere if she decides to stay in Texas and give up her corporate law practice. That's good. Great work with this chapter. judi

I think I mentioned how bad the courtroom stuff was in the last chapter. I will only say, it is worse here. I don't know if it was a lack of research, time, or just making sure the bad guys look stupid and is hated thoroughly by everyone, but I know that's not important to your fans. Alan (the bad man) got what was coming.

Ali and Cord's relationship seems to be at the point where rings are exchanged or they go their separate ways. Just an observation.

Before, and if you attempt publishing, I recommend you really looking at the realism aspect, and 2D characters. Just saying.

Good luck going forward.

I already have publishers looking at it. Sorry you disagree so vividly, but you don't have to purchase it. Not everybody has the same taste in novels.
I'm happy to say. Thank you for the review.

Not about taste. Really, none of that in the court works that way. You don't have to believe me. You can ask someone you trust.

I have a lawyer friend who reviews my work, and she doesn't have a problem with us. Just saying. I am so sorry you dislike my writing so much.

I don't dislike your writing. I think you can write, but you seem to not be getting the truth about certain things. There are procedures, rules, time, laws, in any courtroom. Both sides would see any evidence long before trial. No judge would say the things this one does. You have mixed different stages into one. Why you aren't being told this, is a question.

But, as I said. It is your work. I do wish yo luck.

Hi Barbara, it's coming to an end, isn't it? And I can understand why. I'm at the end of my book as well, and keen to start my new book.
It was a great chapter and I enjoyed it very much. Ulla xx

I can see this book ending soon, I'll miss these characters. I was cheering when Alan was sent to prison for all that time. He'll never come out again. Now Ali has no worries from him. I loved the part with Jewel, that was precious. Now to get the next court cases over with, and for Ali to win them and then she can change to doing legal cases and stay with Cord in Texas. This is going the way we all want! Well done, Barb, I really enjoyed this chapter. :) Sandra

Thank you for the encouragement. It won't be as easy as it all sounds. There will still be issues arise.
