Lost Loves sometimes and unfortunately dig deep
I remember in the beginning with the loss of my 18 year old son Jason.
I thought I was handling it okay for a couple of years after coming out of my depression.
But then I would see another boy and I would see his face again.
Then the crying would appear as if it never disappeared.
Thanks for sharing this and have a Blessed day.
Doctor Ricky

I'm sorry about your son, I have three children and I know I wouldn't be able to forget that kind of pain.

Thank you very much for your time, kind review, and helpfull feedback.

This is such a great capture of how humans process rejection, real or perceived. I can see how it would be a comfort to have their thoughts validated by seeing them in a well crafted heartfelt poem that can only be written by one who gets it and cares about it.

A beautiful poem. First, technically it is a great example of free verse with clear poetic cadence driving its existence. Second, a subject that I think will resonate with many of us. I certainly have deep regrets at losing touch over the years with people who once were the centre of my universe.

you are nothing
but a ghost
living in my delusional mind

such a chilling phrase.

This poem expressed to feelings we all have when something once beautiful no longer exists. It is the closure we think will come from that one last call. Or the possibility of renewal from it. Beautifully written. The emotion is melancholic and filled with regret. Leaving the reader wondering why things ended. Gretchen

A moving poem about missing someone who isn't there for the narrator anymore. I like the yearning and the different colored lines form another poem as well. I liked the reference to the "blue" eyes as your eyes are blue and also prepares us for the sadness in the poem.

I felt that "irrational thoughts" and "delusional mind" were too harsh or too something, I don't know. Love does delude us.
