that was a brilliant court room scene .I enjoyed when i read the procedures unveiling Griffin's character. And that Ali's father and grandfather were there to support her was a great blessing...

I never noticed the length; it was a great trial showdown. I don't know if you have seen a lot of trials, but you made this very realistic without all the paper shuffling and other stuff that makes trials last forever. Only one letter change necessary. Should be a (sprained) ankle. This is so good I think you should consider submitting it to one of the romance publishers.

One would think that Alan is soon removed from the scene - hopefully to a jail cell - then Ali and Cordero can get on with their lives together.

I'm curious about how you know so much about the law and how things work in a courtroom - were you a lawyer or did you go to law school?

Always look forward to the next chapter. Thanks for this one.

Pam

Thank you for the kind review. I have had jury duty numerous times. I guess I'm too stupid to get out of it. LOL

Wow! You pick up a lot in jury duty.

We live in a small area. I'll be 70 in a year, I think at 70 I won't qualify any more.

Brilliant courtroom scene. Masterful build-up to the incontrovertible evidence of the video. BUSTED! Priceless bit about horses not having fingers. Spot-on dialog.

spranged=>sprained ankle.

You sure covered a whole lot of ground in this chapter, and being someone who is a sucker for happy endings, I enjoyed it bunches. Thanks for sharing.

A well written chapter, and I am out of sixes. I am glad Alan has to answer for his actions. I didn't see a thing out of place with this chapter, and I'm always ready to read more. Shirley

You know what? I've been waiting every day for your chapter to come out. Sorry, but somehow it slipped right past me. I just happened upon it this morning while scanning page one. My God ... I don't want to miss the trial!

After I read it, I can say it's one of the best trial scenes I'd read in a long, long time. Great job, Barbara!

I did notice a few things. Since I downloaded this several hours ago, a few of the more obvious ones are probably already corrected. Just in case, though, here are the ones I found. (They are not all Spag.)

He grinned watching Alexandra hugged her grandpa as he said to her dad, [He grinned, watching Alexandra HUG her grandpa ...]

"I just ordered it Monday." Cordero's eyes widened. "Thank you." [Are Cordero's eyes widening because he's afraid Joseph might spill the beans? If so, shouldn't the eye widening come first -- before he says anything?]

this invitation only party at the Rockefeller Center. [In my opinion, "invitation only" desperately needs hyphenating. I kept trying to read it that it was the "only party at the Rockefeller Center.]

In spite of these observations, arguably questionable, this is far-and-away six-worthy!

Jay

You did a really good job of writing this courtroom scene. Sounds like Alan is going to get his due rewards, as all the evidence points to him being guilty.

This was a bit later than your usual. I am so glad it has turned up. I guess the length of the post probably held things up. Hope we are gonna witness the next case again Griffin. Just a coupe of spags."Joseph kissing her cheek"...and kissed her che[c](e)k.

and the badly spra(i)n(ed)[g] ankle. Not sure if our take on English might be different on your side for this last.

I have made those corrections. I am posting every 5 days, not necessarily every Sunday until I end this novel, sometime in February. My next post will be Sunday because it falls in the 5 day time frame. Thank you for the kind review.

That's great. The more the merrier I say and I think you said you have a new work coming after this, as well? I need to get my act together and write some more. Bit stressed over a few things.

I didn't see your six rating in my PM box. I do want to thank you. I appreciate your support. Sending love and prayers.
