This is a very beautiful and well written poem about spring you have penned for the writing prompt contest. It looks like you used very good words that didn't mess with the words you were not allowed to us. Very nice imagery from the art work you chose. Best wishes in the contest! Teri

This is very lovely and descriptive, chronically showing the transition from winter to spring. It comes so gradually that we might not notice and then surprise! Best of luck in the contest.

I thought you performed an excellent task in getting us through the long winter months to the inception of spring.

With the added challenge of the inability to use those common words associated with spring, you did well.

Best of luck in the contest. John

Your poem follows the contest format. Must have been hard to write about spring without the use of flowers. You manage, in part, by using winter words like snow and flurries, at least for the first part of the poem.
You take a more timely approach to the coming of spring. I like your personification of the calendar, with the pages whistling by.
This poem is well crafted. I have to wonder where you are. Here in the States, winter is just whistling in. Those calendar pages seem to be stuck.
Good luck with the contest.

Smiling back, I live in the southern states NC where we enjoy extremely mild winters, and spring is alway teasing us as yesterday when we enjoyed 68 degrees but woke with a morning low of 27.

Same here in Alabama. Two of my children went to college in North Carolina, and we camp and raft there every summer. Great state.

Been to your state on many occasions! A broad climatic experience.

You description of spring is absolutely as beautiful as spring is. Although as fast as time goes, spring isn't here yet. LOL Thank you for sharing this writing prompt entry with us. I enjoyed reading.

Not an easy challenge when word selection is restricted, but you have risen to the challenge. You describe well the images and the emotions of a season ending and a new one beginning. Lovely poem. Good luck in the contest.

A poem celebrating the final arrival of Spring. There is close observation and detail here. I like the reference to the bee 'teasing' the clover and the days gradually getting longer!
