You're showing your skills at writing, Jim. One can almost learn to hit a tee shot by reading your description. This was light and humorous with Abbies little rejoinders, made realistic by Kenny's brief impatience at what must have seemed to him was her making light of what they were doing. It was overall, a good chapter. No suggestions.

Yes, I've only played one round of golf in my entire life, but I was a long time cricketer, and the orthodox swing of a cricket bat is very similar to a golf club, both are designed to swing straight through, with the full face of the bat/club, in order not to slice/hook the ball. But that's another story, beautifully written Jim, blessings Roy

One of the things I like about the story (it's your writing that does it) are those little quirky, corny moments.
ie:
â?¢ he said, twitching his eyebrows up and down a couple of times (he was looking for a roll in the hay)
â?¢ Aw, shucks
â?¢ previous chapter gave a hubba-hubba
These little things give me a smile.

I'm upset, she's getting on too well with Kenny! I like the way you're developing Abby. She's increasingly credible and fallible. Of course I'm a UK reader but I would beware of too many references to TV programmes as it does restrict your potential readership.

Good point about the TV shows. I think those are the last ones I reference.
Very soon we're going to see Abby, Kenny, and E.J. involved with each other in a surprising way.
