This is an excellent traditional 5-7-5 haiku
with very good imagery and grammatical connection.
The satori lines works very nicely.
The robins don't stay around in winter where we live,
but lots of birds do.
Well done.

A bird trill in winter is rarely heard, which makes your poem unique. To see a robin in winter, gives me a feeling of the coming of spring. Your poem gave me that same warm feeling. Good luck in the contest.

Beautiful contrast between the starkness of the winter scene and the sight and sound of the robin. I like the "chill" and "trills" pairing too, also the alliteration. An excellent entry. Best wishes for the contest.

Really nicely done! I like the hint of internal rhyme. I think this is structured so poetically and authentically with each line offering a small complete morsel and then the satisfying final line that complete's the poem. A lovely wintery 5-7-5.
