Here in Wyoming, we are in Zone 4b, hard winters with temps down to 30 below. We tend to plant Zone 3 & 4 perennials, and some of them do not survive.
Like you, we are surrounded by, and subject to, cold and storms, but we are ordering our seeds and plants for spring.

I would just love to wonder through a field of violets and heather and lie down in a purple haze! I'm sure I would sneeze but that is by the by! Lovely alliteration and rhyme and a poem that expresses the fragility and strength of nature.

I love lavender, although I live in Florida where it really doesn't grow. The ryhming scheme is great. The diction creates imagery that I can see. Hope your winter isn't too long. Nice job.
