A beautiful Spring poem here Rachel. Invoking beautiful Mother Earth and her children is so uplifting. I am certainly looking forward to the thaw and putting the current bitter cold behind us.

Well done.

Rachelle, first of all I would like to apologize for not reviewing your writing sooner. You've reviewed so many of mine, and it is only fair I do the same.

Your poem about nature is sublime. The imagery was astounding.

You took flowers, an inanimate living entity, and made a whole story out of them. A story of resilience, of determination, of what it means to truly triumph against the challenges nature and life throw at us.

Exquisite.

Warmly,

FieryRoseFountains

Thank you for this review, too, Fiery Rose Fountains! My husband is probably hoping you refrain from further reviews for fear I'll become insufferable to live with! Xo

Nice imaginative work and far more interesting than the squabbles between the different weeds in our back yard. I wish you and yours a very Happy New Year.
May your future normally splendid works receive a golden shower of Fan Story stars! God bless you, Dennis

Beautiful piece! Winter is a cold frigid bitch killing all the beautiful living things with her arrival. Don't worry Spring always comes back with a vengeance! Beautiful fierce flowers always bloom again. Mother nature is kind.

Wonderful entry for the Contest.
Good rhyme and meter that doesn't sound forced.
Nice presentation. I don't understand the ending. Are you going to destroy the flowers?

Good luck in the contest.

And thank God for these flowers and their ability to survive the harshest of winters. You honor nature with this lovely poem. Great rhyming. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

This poem, The Fight is Real, focuses on these tight wired flower-shrubs, which take over their assigned piece of earth and create a barrier that conjures poetic thought.

Hello Rachelle,
Nice job on your poem. The picture you chose was perfect and the color scheme for the font was right on. I never realized that the two flowers grew together. We have wild forget-me-nots that grow here in Alaska. Later on in the summer, lupine is everywhere. I'm always amazed how tough these delicate flowers can be, to endure the long winters and brutal storms. Thanks for sharing this gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

Rachelle, this is a fantastic poem of claiming Spring. Life is in the roots and Spring will always come. We must help the beauty along though by trimming and preparing. We lived in New York near Niagara Falls. How we longed and antipated the arrival of spring! Sending you my best today as always and best wishes for the upcoming contest.
