Well done writer. We need passion and pen to express the words we are seeking to write. Our words would be flat and uninteresting without a dash of passion. Take the murder buff, the victim wouldn't bleed. Take romance, love of his life would never smile and so on.

Your poem ably mimics the feeling that many writers have.
P.S. Not totally satisfied with 'hushed' but the Thesaurus gave me no alternative one-syllable word to suggest. Quiet or silent would have been my wordsmithing choice, but alas each has two syllables. (-;

I guess if we don't meet someone in person, namely writers, we tend to believe the passion in their heart by the sheer exposure they bring via the pen. A beautifully written entry in this lune poetry contest, good luck, blessings Roy

A good contest entry. You've said so much in so little words that it allows the readers mind to wander. The first two lines reveal much creativity and limitless possibilities. Adding the third line, portrays many things like, tone, word selection, urgency, and volume.
