Interesting and last I checked it was leading.

I hope the writer would speak the words of his passion onto paper and share it with the world.

Nice work here.

While I think 'unspoken' in this poem refers to something that is nonetheless communicated by the writer's writing. There is in this poem the suggestion that writing is freer in what it can express than speaking. This seems often true, although when one's identity is known there are still present the risks of self-exposure. Nonetheless, passion can be expressed with less risk than what is said in conversation, and therefore what is expressed can be richer in its emotional content.
I think the author made some modifications to this 3-5-3 poem and I like it even more. Parchment is a word with all kinds of associations and history, things that enrich a poem.

This is a good 3-5-3 contest entry. The text is a great size. I like that you wrote some of the lines in red like blood. The message is stark and clearly stated. The visual fits perfectly. Good luck in the contest.

Our passion surges through our veins and heart as we struggle to write what we hope to share with others.... I hope it never goes unspoken but is heard by everyone who reads our thoughts.

Happy New Year

May the upcoming year be filled with joy, peace, love and happiness.... and of course, filled with passion to write and share.

Hugs, Carol

That is so true. We write more than we would dare to say. Sometimes our passions are too painful to express, sometimes we just know they wouldn't be reciprocated. Writing down these sentiments as fiction, we feel safe. This is a great contest entry, well done and good luck! :)) Sandra

This 3-5-3, Passion Bleeds Unspoken, has the proper formatting and suggests that strong passions, for some, can only be expressed through the tip of a writing implement.

Writer's have always used the pen to convey the feelings of the heart that perhaps their mouth can't or won't. I like how the first and third lines convey that while the center line informs us from whence the passion flows.

A good entry for this contest - good luck!

This is such a profound statement capturing the passion poets can identify with - in just three lines! Unspoken words can bleed from a heart filled with emotion - begging to be revealed. Well done! Should do well in the contest.
