Seems Dave had "special bars" that stayed opened until 3am just for him.

I never made it to Capri, so I especially enjoyed reading this memoir. I tend to agree with you. I don't believe successful people are automatically happier. I think those of us who are just comfortable are the happiest.

Thank you for the review and comments. I glad you enjoyed my trip to capri. The blue grotto is supposed to be thier prime attraction but we didn't time to do that.

Thanks again, Chuck. We were enjoying our trip and catching up on each other's life. Yes Rick Stevens makes you feel like you're traveling with him. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. I"ve survived Thankgiving and two brithdays.with my family and I hope I can cope another week and come out no worse for wear. I'm alwyas relieved when the Holidays are over. Shame on me. Now the isle of Capri is one place I haven't been, although Elaine had visited there when she was studying in Europe, the organised tours will cover more ground than travelling on one's own can do, but thanks for the historical information dear Beth, well done, blessings Roy

Oh yes, I remember the songs about the Isle of Capri.
They made the island sound very romantic and mysterious.
I believe at one time I even watched a movie filmed there.

Thank you for a great review. I need to include the year in every one of my chapters. This was in 1997. I will go back put it in the notes at least. No, I didn't keep a diary of the trip. I do have pictures I took. The memories are still pretty vivid, but I did go on google and do a little research to make sure I wasn't mixing up some of the places. Early on, I thought we took the trip in October but when I checked out when the earthquake occurred in Assisi, I learned it was late September.
