Now where was I? ~~ (smile)~~ Okay so I blitzed through fourteen or so chapters in one day and then got tied up a bit! Delighted to be b ac in time to see Emmy playing subtly good cop to Hank's not quite so bad cop!

They play so well of each other I forget you're writing them!

Whew! Glad that package was not on the desk... I'm enjoying this story a LOT.

I know there are about ten thousand more tricks up your sleeve!

Write on!

Karenina

    My dear Karenina,

My apologies for falling behind again. It appears that life prefers me to move at a snail's pace instead of how my mind wants to be in the race. Thank you so much for enjoying the story and reviewing.

    Always, Carol

This is another excellent chapter. You moved the story along nicely. I do not see any room for improvement. I do look forward to the next chapter. Have a blessed day.

Another interesting chapter. It seems like there are so many involved with the diamonds. One small fix needed: I'm not sure your father's death is connected (to) the man.... I do hope Fenton and Cooper share what they know about the robbery. Blessings.

And look at me...able to respectfully respond to your review in record time instead of being days behind. Thank you as always. Only a few more messages and I believe I will be free to write once more.

Glad you're caught up today. I've been behind in everything because I've been sick for over a week. That just wears me out! So glad you're back to writing.

another tension building chapter. It will be quite a feat if the detectives solve the mystery. You did an excellent job as always. I can't wait to read the next one. Shirley

Hi Carol, I'm glad you're back to writing again. I hope that means the immediate family problems have been solved.
So I hope Rudy will survive and that Cooper will talk. It's so a great new chapter. Ulla:)))

Hi Ulla... I was in a very dark spot with losing 8 family and friends in six months and being burdened with so much other conflict. I didn't know if I'd ever be able to find the desire to write again, but I am so blessed to be able to produce this story and have you and others enjoy it. Knowing that people really are glad to see me return is beyond words. I am deeply touched and appreciative. Thank you!

    Smiles and hugs, Carol

This crisis in North Carolina is wrapping up and I will return home on Wednesday... hopefully to quiet time with my fur babies. I have enjoyed my grandchildren but home is always home.

    Smiles and hugs, Carol

Interesting developments and interactions. Let's hope that Rudy survives. Also that Cooper shares what he knows. But it will doubtless get a lot more complicated yet before they can solve it all. Excellent writing.
Typo: 'retvged' should be 'wretched'.

This is an interesting chapter with the two cops trying to find out about the diamonds only to learn that Cooper operated on Rudy during the night. I read this to understand the next chapter. Well-written and edited.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I am still in North Carolina but things are improving. Got a reprieve today so I wrote of course and now I am frantically trying to catch up on reviews and reading. It's always nice to see your smiling face.

It's good to see you back and writing again. I have kept your story in mind and wondered when it would continue. This chapter is interesting and well-written, as usual.

Your comments warm my heart and make me smile... I was afraid I might not write again or be any good, but you and others have reassured me that I can. Thank you...

I happy you're able to write again. I hope that mean you latest emergency has passed or at least eased a bit. It looks like Cooper is going to tell Hank and Emmy something that might be helpful if he is allowed too. I'm still wondering about the package. I love the story.

Thank you so much for reading and for sharing those precious gold stars with me. I too am loving the writing and truly loving how the story is unfolding. I am in North Carolina but things are improving and my middle great granddaughter is home, though she is unable to walk yet, but soon they say. I haven't had much time to myself but I claimed some today while the girls slept... I wondered if they would ever get up. LOL Now laundry is going, a roast is in the crock pot and I am struggling to get through some of the stories and reviews. Life's grand if we don't weaken, but then you are well aware of it, aren't you? Smiles and hugs, Carol

Thanks for updating me. I have a cousin in North Carolina and I was with her a few day a couple of weeks ago. She lives in Waynesville near Ashville and Maggie Valley.

We are in Mebane and Carissa works in Hillsborough. The girls soccer was in Raleigh where their dad lives. Carissa seems to be on the road all the time. I wish I could stay longer with her to help, but maybe after the first of the year. Hugs, Carol
