You stun me many, many times with the serious poems you toss in among your trove of hilarious ones. This is one of the stunners, and I've re-read it several times. It's already provided me with much rumination. I wish I still had a sixth star to bestow. Extremely well done, Jon.

This one had me chewing the cud too after I read what I had scribbled. Lol

This is a well done metaphorical 5-7-5 about possible freedom. The leaf free from the hold of the branch and the mind free to think. The last line shows sometimes we doubt that this freedom does exist.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Happy Holidays

This is wonderful! I love the image of a falling leaf being caught up by a gust of wind. The freedom of flying juxtaposed by the notion of being captured or taken prisoner by the wind. This leads us to ponder: what is freedom and are we ever truly free? Or is it a false sense of freedom? I love the "I think" at the end. Simple BRILLIANCE. I don't have a 6 star left to offer. This is deserving!

Well hello there, newcomer from Oz. Welcome aboard. Sorry about the Socceroos loss today but they gave Argentina a grand old scare didn't they.
I really appreciate your kind comments and glad my scribble brought you pause.

I look forward to reading some of your work Karyn.

Freedom to do as we please is the greatest gift we can receive and many take this for granted. In some countries people are not free to leave and explore the world, a poignant write, love Dolly x
